I have been a licensed Veterinary Technician since 1987. Began teaching obedience classes in 1990 and have taught Level 1, CGC, Novice, Ring Prep, and Open. Have taught Puppy Kindergarten classes for the past 8 years for Companion Animal Hospital and Volunteer Veterinary Clinic.
Have been owned by dogs for 34 years. Started with a Toy Fox Terrier, then had my wonderful Miniature Poodle Coco for 18 years. Duncan, Mini Poodle, is my first obedience dog and has acquired a UD, NA, NAJ, with two legs in OA and OAJ. He has been an active therapy dog with TDI for 6 years. Along the way I have also had a super Border Collie, Sli, who earned his CD and his Therapy Dog certification.
Currently showing Bonzai, Standard Poodle. He has earned his CD, OA, NAJ and his Delta Society Pet Partner's certification.
Up and coming puppy Lance is a Standard Poodle with many footsteps to follow.
My home in Springfield is shared by the three dogs, one cat and a horse.

Jeff Whitsitt
Jeff has been a dog enthusiast for the past 11 years. It all began when he took his sheltie, Kelsey, to dog obedience class as a puppy. Since then, Jeff has earned tracking, herding, obedience, and agility titles with his canine companion as well as instructing obedience and agility classes. Kelsey enjoyed an exciting career, and now enjoys a peaceful retirement with his other sheltie “siblings” Kirstie and Amy.
A new chapter began when Kane, a Belgian Tervuren, joined the Whitsitt clan. Thanks to Kane there is never a dull moment among the shelties, the two kitties and the wife that share their lives with Jeff. Life is good in spite of the hairballs that roll across the kitchen floor. Oh, by the way, Jeff also helped his friend Jane recently by earning an agility leg on her sheltie, Magic.
